TAMARA COBBIN -Space Challenger
I am addicted to the challenge of taking small spaces and turning them into living, places; eating places; working places; playing places; and even storage places.
Always living on a small budget my whole life has made me become a great problem solver when it comes to too many things/ people and not enough space.
I am very organized.
I am honest and dedicated to finding the answer to a problem.
No situation is too large for me to solve. If I can’t answer it, I will find the source to answer it.
My experience as a photographer helps me to focus on a small space (my eye through a lens) creating the perfect picture/ solution. this narrows my focus while broadening my creative juices.
I love to help people. And love people’s feed back.
I want this site to be informative, a place to share ideas / give and get feedback, a site to find out resources available, and a site that is welcoming and not too complicated to move around – user friendly. It is work in progress.
I don’t want to be the expert – I want the contribution to the site to be the expert.

I am the opposite I live in a 5,000 sq ft house with lots of outside space. I grew up with 2 of my sibs sharing a 10×10 room. I vowed that someday I would have a wide open space. My grandkids love to visit, they get to ride bikes and scooters. I chose to live in an area where I could have the space rather than the amenities!

It is not just about the space. It is about the ideas of how to use it be it 100 sq ft or 2000 sq ft. I appreciate your ideas Tamara. There is always something one can learn.

Boy could I have used your help last year. I turned a closet in to an office in order to give my small den more space. But it took me 5 years to figure that out!

I just found your blog – and it looks great. I really like the design, the colors, all great. You should include more and larger photos in your posts though . In my humble opinion, people want to see pictures to match your suggestions, and to see examples of the lovely tiny houses. Just a thought.

I tried to send you in the contact form, but it did not seem to work, so I’m putting it in the comment section.

I, too, stumbled upon this site from facebook. Living in Manhattan is always a struggle. Living in 250 SF with a 100 lb. dog is near impossible! I’m always on the lookout for genius ideas to save space, make storage attractive and carve out niches for eating, sleeping, relaxing. It’s tough, but it can be done!!
