Is My Apartment Big Enough For A Cat?

“The amount of love and positive attention your cat receives is much more important than the square footage of your apartment.”

Cats can be very happy and comfortable in a small studio apartment; the can also be miserable and lonely in a 5,000 square foot home, if they are ignored by human companions. Don’t forget, cats need attention. Cats will remain active and interested in their surroundings, no matter how small, as long as their human companions take the time each day to play and cuddle with them. They appear to be loners, but do much better with human interaction. Cats do not need to be outdoors as thousands upon thousands have proved in high density urban areas. But they still need exercise and human contact. So make sure there are toys, scratching post, catnip and daily playtime. With a cat comes litter box. This is not a problem if you remember two important points:

-Choice of cat food. – use premium cat food with few grain fillers

-Cleanliness of the litter box- keep it incredibly clean!!!!

Cats Play has wonderful ideas for camouflaging litter boxes in small spaces to also be functional furniture.
